For me portraiture is the recreation of life on a two dimensional surface. My approach to portraiture is capturing likeness, life and character. This is no small task; especially the character aspect. Needless to say, instilling a persons character in the creation of their portrait is the most difficult. In my opinion it defines the ultimate ability of a portrait artist. Portraiture is, and always will be, an intimate experience between the artist and his subject. Whether any words are ever spoken between the two, the irrevocable connection has been established and will remain as long as the painting exists. Prices for portraiture quoted per inquiry.
